Meet the Doctor

“The best thing about dentistry is the relationships that we develop with our patients. Since these bonds can last a lifetime, it is essential that we not only treat the mouth, but the whole person.”
Leigh C. Kenner, DDS

About Dr. Kenner:

Originally from San Diego, Dr. Kenner grew up in a large family which includes two older brothers, an older sister, and a twin sister. Gymnastics was a huge passion in her life while growing up. She began training and competing in this sport at a young age. Dr. Kenner worked her way up to national-level competition by high school, and eventually competed on the collegiate level for the University of Minnesota on a full athletic scholarship. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. In addition to her longstanding passion for gymnastics, dentistry was a passion that she developed over the years as well. With her dad, uncle, both brothers, and sister-in-law all being dentists, she had many great mentors to inspire her and learn from. Dr. Kenner received her dental degree from the highly regarded University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in San Francisco. This rigorous program provided her the unique opportunity to gain competency in a wide variety of dental disciplines including extractions, root canals, pediatrics (children’s dentistry), dentures, implants, crowns, and other cosmetic procedures. Dr. Kenner enjoys treating patients of all ages and is known for her gentle, compassionate touch. After graduating in June 2008, she moved up to Seattle to begin her career in the great Northwest.

In the pursuit to expand her knowledge of current dental techniques, Dr. Kenner is a proponent of continual learning and growth through continuing education. She is a member of two study groups: The Summit Dental Study Group and the First Hill Implant Study Club. She is also an active member in the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the Washington State Dental Association, and the Seattle-King County Dental Society.

Outside of her interest in dentistry, Dr. Kenner enjoys playing soccer, gymnastics, watching football, exploring Seattle, reading and spending time with friends and family.
